Electric vehicles run on electrons, yet still rely on fluids. Think of a laptop, it is digital at heart, but it still needs a cooling system and a dab of thermal paste. In the same way, EV e-motor bearings, reduction gears, and battery chillers depend on purpose-built lubricants and electrically insulating coolants.

🧭 The Story
E-motors reach very high speeds, so bearings need low-drag lubricants that also resist electrical pitting. Reducers prefer finely balanced gear oils, often around 32 cSt at 40 °C, to cut churning losses while protecting gears. Battery coolants carry heat away while staying friendly to copper, aluminium, and seals, and remaining non-conductive to keep high-voltage connections safe.
